Jose “ICE” Reyes
Born Jose Reyes, ICE started making beats from the age of 16. Though his music learning and interest did not begin until the age of 9. ICE took his first 3 months of piano lessons from his church’s pianist. After seeing that he wanted more hours of learning and his parents couldn’t give it to him, he then started to look at concerts, play along with music cds and tapes, and to buy song books and make up his own rhythms and tempo for some songs. At the time he entered high school (south miami high) he quickly signed up for the marching band. As “have to take classes” they gave him music theory I and music theory II and that changed his music forever. He started to listen to different types of music including but never limited to classical, symphony, orchestral, jazz, rock, pop, r&b, and rap. Out of this genres his attention was grabbed by the hip hop culture.
Busta Rymes was his first rap artist that would intrigue him into the dirty south fast paced rapping flow. After studying the hip hop culture and music he quickly got his hands on fruity loops and Majix 7 and started making beats. After having much experience as a producer, ICE gave his life to Christ in February 2009 and started to work with likes: Streets Salvation, Threat, Joshua White (DJ PK), Macho, Miami Boy, Immanuel, King David and today ICE has spread through out south florida with his beats and producing abilities and has now just recently arrived to Daytona with his new ministry family and with God’s help, ICE will help many artists spread the word of God through their music.
